Life goes on...

So, the ICAEW Advance Stage results are out..... and I didn't make it through. But hey, I've come this far with only two more papers left: Two. Freaking. Tough. Papers. Well, it's expected I would fail as I felt I didn't put in much effort. So, I have myself to blame.

As for my two friends who are in their final paper, one made it through, so yay! Congratz to him!! Proud of him, I might add. The other, well, I know the paper is tough.

In the end, life goes on.. We just have to accept the reality of it and try to plan out the next move.

Most of my course mates have also made it through and you should see how the Facebook were filled with their relief on their passing of ICAEW result postd. Of course, I wish that I could be one of them. I just have to play the waiting game then.

And I've been doing some thinking, how am I going to handle these final two papers. Should I take two at once? But I'm also worried about how my firm going to take in this result. Oh well...

That is all for my post. Tqvm for taking your time reading and goodbye~

8 Reasons why Batman V Superman is Great

Reviews and opinion below are solely of the writer's personal thoughts.
P.s. Spoiler alert.

So there's been a bunch of negative reviews ongoing with this movie. It's been one of the most anticipated movies in 2016, and being DC'S fundamentals in setting up the DC universe. And, here we are, son of krypton vs bat of Gotham. Day vs night. This is first ever movie that themed 2 of our favorite protagonists in one show. And, it's been an action, content-packed movie which Snyder has been working very hard on.

Here's the top reasons you should watch batman V Superman:
1. Wonder Woman is haaawwwt. Nuff said

2. BvS managed to set up the DC universe is just 2 movies, I.e. Subsequent to man of steel.

3. It gives a deeper meaning to the Justice League. The Avengers initiative seeded from an idea. The Justice League rooted from conflicts, friendship and a bunch of elements which makes the dawning more natural and with greater bond.

4. Lex Luthor is a brilliant evil mastermind who manipulates. Antagonists have trended towards "Brain power villains", thanks to movies like Sherlock, and Jesse have fitted his role suitably. Although not notably highlighted on why he would want Superman to fight Batman, but the plot was a good interlock between an old lady, vengeance and a rock. Lex is a worthy opponent, complemented by his wild thoughts, which makes the movie interesting, rather than Deadpool looking for a doctor named after a washing liquid brand in order to save his face.

5. Many have criticized that Batman didn't kill Superman after Superman mentioned his mum's name, which is coincidentally Bruce's mum's name. Assuming your position as a director and a screen writer, how would you resolve both conflicts between a Bat with deep vengeance against Superman, who happened to be determined to save his mum's life? Snyder is able to connect both characters soft spots through the thinnest line which forged into an unbreakable bond, leading to the dawning of the Justice League.

6. The plot is not just an ordinary superhero movie. The movie resonates on the massive destruction in Metropolis caused by Superman battling General Zod, which the BvS provides the point of view from a person standing on the ground, I.e Bruce. The movie also revolves around creating and discovering deeper conflicts against Superman, which is a similar method we see in the Dark Knight Rises in order to break the Bat. On the other hand,  the Avengers would be a more crowd-pleasing movie which has basically says "avengers assemble" and fight the bad guys.

7. It's one of those rare movies where the main character actually dies. Fine. Spoiler: Superman dies, and a funeral was held. The movie fulfills comic fan's expectations where Superman actually died under the hands of Doomsday. But, normal persons' expectations on Superman is basically that he can't die, which actually makes the film hard to deliver the impact to the audience.

8. It is a serious movie. Inherent from Nolan's interpretation of the Dark Knight, the movie addresses issues which are close to us and we can appreciate. Democracy, technological advancements, disasters, innocent lives, war, journalism, secrecies, family etc. Snyder decided to go the opposite route of where the Avengers is heading, by making the movie grimmer. Because...we don't see Batman making jokes (pun intended). It is also in line with the saying the night is the darkest to the brightest dawn.

The Dawning

Sometimes, you're a mess.
The next thing that you'd realise, you're a beautiful mess.
Yet, still a mess.

Being the only child in the family is not really that easy.
In fact, being alone...is not okay at all.
We need family, friends, support...love.
It's never easy to fight battles on your own.

Being the only person in work who is responsible for a couple of engagements is not easy.
Dealing with bosses requires great effort to convince them.
It requires confidence to tell them that you know what you're doing.

Sleeping in office and more sleepless nights.
Mamak and 24-hour McDonald's...because that's the only food available during midnights.

After months of experience and painful learning, I've finally got a break, which I was sick during half of the trip. Most probably due to inability to adapt to the sudden long rest I'm getting.

What I've Lost

Hey, sup.

There are good time and there's ... bad times.
Sometimes, you have no idea how on earth did you get into this sh!thole.

No matter how hard you fought. No matter how strong you are. No matter how much you endure and persevere. It doesn't matter anyway.

When you're surrounded in darkness and there's no way out. No light to guide your way. It's just you and your instinct. fighting against shadows, fears, nothingness, and your imaginations. Painfully, you fight alone. Then, it struck you that what what you is not enough to continue fighting. Then (again), you realised that how much you've lost.

I was in love with a fantasy.
I don't have a proper academic qualification.
I am in a difficult position in my workplace.
I am emotionally, physically and psychologically exhausted.
I do not have any other skills.

Last few months was hell. Working till late nights with no back-up from colleagues. Driving in midnights that you almost fell asleep. Waking up rolling down the wrong side of the bed. Waking up into nightmares. Trying to achieve unrealistic deadlines, which could really get you killed. Dealing with so many things at once that you've no idea how to proceed.

It's just painful to see that all the efforts you've made didn't actually get you anywhere. In fact, it's used against you. And, that's just unfair. Hey, but that's life, right?

Everything just seemed so ... bleak and empty.

In the end, everything else doesn't even matter.
What that really matters is what that makes you happy.

And..that, is the hardest question.

In the midst of darkness... there'll be light of hope

At times, in our life, we will face challenges and these challenges will tend to sway us from our main objective and may discourage us from proceeding further.

At time when this happens, we will fall into despair and give up. We will see it as our failure and ingrain it in our memory. And we will keep on brooding about it.

But even in our darkest times, we mustn't forget to smile.

Who knows, in the far future, we may look back and laugh at our foolishness for being sad at things like these, but that's what makes us humans.

So, no matter how hard the situation is, we mustn't forget to smile. It's what gives us strength to fight on.
